Lisbeth Lundahl: Making research doable: On structures, agendas, agency and action

In the middle of this month, a one-week joint workshop of doctoral schools in the field of teacher education and educational sciences from the University of Umeå and the University of Ljubljana will be held at the Faculty of Education of the University of Ljubljana. On this occasion, among other guests hat will attend the joint workshpop, is also the renowned Swedish sociologist of education Prof. Dr. Lisbeth Lundahl.

With our School Field Seminar, we join the program and we kindly invite you to join her lecture (in English) under the title Making research doable: On structures, agendas, agency and action. In her lecture, she will talk about the context of education research in modern times, which is largely characterized by increased competition, intensification and internationalization of academic work. She will also talk about the feasibility of research from the perspective of an individual researcher, as well as the changing nature of education and the consequences these changes have for his research.
