Maša Vidmar, Nada Požar Matijašič: Key data on early childhood education and care in Europe (2014)

Nov 2014 | School Field Seminar

We invite you again to the School Field seminar, which this time will be dedicated to the field of preschool education. This year, the Eurydice network produced a study entitled Important data on early childhood education and care in Europe (2014), which includes 61 indicators and a comparative analysis of early childhood education and care in 32 European countries or 37 education systems. The study describes the challenges faced by European countries in providing quality early childhood education and care services for 32 million preschool children. This time, the seminar is being organized in cooperation with the Slovenian Eurydice unit at the Ministry of Education and Science, and the study will be presented by Dr. Maša Vidmar from the Pedagogical Institute and Nada Požar Matijašič from the Office for the Development of Education at the Ministry of Education and Science, who also contributed national descriptions and data for the aforementioned study. We invited Dr. Ljubica Marjanovič Umek to comment, and the discussion will be moderated by Dr. Slavko Gaber.

As usual, the rest of the evening will be an opportunity for questions and comments, and for discussion of anything that may interest us in the context of the main topic.

We therefore kindly invite you to join us on Thursday, November 13, 2014 at 7:00 PM in room 026 at the Faculty of Education, University of Ljubljana, Kardeljeva pl. 16, Ljubljana.
