We hope that you had a nice holiday and entered 2014 on the right foot. We also hope that you are already ready for the January seminar of the School Field. This time we have and no guests: we want to present to you some results of the “DEP” research project, which we have been conducting at CEPS for the last three years and which deals with some issues of modern higher education from the perspective of internationalization. The research group is now quite scattered around the world, but the holidays brought most of it back to Ljubljana. We will present to you above all that part of the results that is connected to the processes in higher education here at home and in the so-called countries. of the Western Balkans; we also published this part of the research in a shorter monograph.

The presentation will be given by Manja Klemenčič, Janja Komljenovič, Klemen Miklavič and Pavel Zgaga. We will talk about the (”Bologna”) reforms and problems in their implementation, about public and private higher education, about the changed role of higher education institutions, about the values ​​of equality and justice in higher education, about the role of students in the management of higher education and more. Especially after the introductory part, we will be happy for your questions, comments and controversies, as is usual for our seminars.
