The new academic year is beginning and it is time to invite you again to the School Field seminar. This time, we are placing it right at the very beginning of the semester, because this way we will be able to bring into our midst a colleague from a distant land that has not been represented in our previous seminars: China.
Our guest will be Assoc. Prof. Dr. Mei Li (East China Normal University, Shanghai, People’s Republic of China). Mei works on comparative education and mobility and internationalization, especially in higher education, and in this context also with teacher education, which is the traditional mission of the university where she works. In her introductory lecture, Mei will present the central topics in education in China today. After the lecture, there will be a discussion, as usual, in which you will be able to ask our guest everything about education in China that you have not had the opportunity to ask before. The seminar will be held in English.
I would like to invite you to join us on Tuesday, October 1, 2013 at 7:00 PM in room 026 at the Faculty of Education, University of Ljubljana, Kardeljeva pl. 16, Ljubljana.
On our website you can find one of the guest articles in English; the article is based on her doctoral thesis, which she defended at the University of Hong Kong in 2006.
