The first value of the University of Ljubljana is achieving academic excellence and ensuring the highest possible quality. This value is also reflected in the Strategy of the University of Ljubljana 2012-2020, which clearly defines the development of the field of quality. In accordance with its values and strategy, the University professionally and continuously takes care of its quality.
In recent years, on the basis of quality analyses, the University of Ljubljana has identified areas of necessary improvement and formulated suitable measures for them. In this regard, the recent reflective and in-depth self-evaluation process of the University of Ljubljana, which took place within the framework of the re-accreditation of the University of Ljubljana, significantly contributed to an even better understanding of the current state of quality and the planning of measures. CEPS colleagues also participate in the project.
The university thus had concrete quality development goals, supported by analyzes and external re-accreditation. It was at this time that the competent ministry published a public tender for the establishment of a quality assurance system at higher education institutions in Slovenia. The resulting project enabled the University to realize its goals much earlier than it had initially anticipated. Thus, in the two and a half years that the project lasts, it will implement all the planned measures in the field of quality and successfully realize its strategic goals.
