Tatjana Plevnik, Mojca Peček Čuk: School autonomy

Nov 2008 | School Field Seminar

We cordially invite you to the first meeting of the School Field Seminar in this academic year, in which the Seminar is already entering its ninth year. This time, we have chosen school autonomy as the introductory topic. We will take the opportunity to confront this topic with the release of two new Eurydice publications in Slovenian translation: “School Autonomy in Europe. Policy and Measures” and “Levels of Autonomy and Responsibility of Teachers in Europe”.

To introduce the evening, we have invited Ms. Tatjana Plevnik from the Eurydice Unit of the Ministry of Education and Sport, who will present both publications, and Assoc. Prof. Dr. Mojca Peček Čuk from our faculty, who will speak in more detail about the study on the levels of autonomy and responsibility of teachers, in which she participated as a researcher. We believe that both the topic and the two introductory speakers will ensure an interesting evening, dedicated to discussing issues that are certainly of interest to a wider circle, but that we have not yet had in such a direct form on our program.

The meeting will be held on Wednesday, November 12, 2008, starting at 7:00 p.m. in room 026 at the Faculty of Education, University of Ljubljana, Kardeljeva pl. 16, Ljubljana.
