Mapping of European Social Sciences and Humanities (2003 – 2005)

Projects

Mapping of Research in European Social Sciences and Humanities (MORESS) is a joint project of EUA (European University Association) and 24 universities from different European countries under the auspices of the 5th OP. The basic goal of the project is to connect numerous and differently structured sources of information about research in the social sciences and humanities into an integrated structure that could be used by all interested researchers and which would thus strengthen the quality of European research in the future.

The course of the project is guided by two fundamental purposes: (1) to improve cooperation and possibilities of integration within the research community in this field, in the interest of the development of the European knowledge-based economy and society; (2) to assist candidate countries in the development of research in the social sciences as a key instrument in the process of democratic transition and European integration and based on the objectives of the Sixth Framework Programme.
