The concept of citizenship and the construction of the subject and content of civic education for interdisciplinary teaching (2001 – 2004)

The research will carry out a theoretical analysis of concepts and an analysis of the current situation in the teaching of civic education and upbringing in elementary school, and will prepare conceptual bases for the subject and for cross-curricular civic education classes and will produce concrete examples for its implementation in practice.

Cross-curricular civic education will cover the entire primary school vertical and, in principle, all subjects, as well as the organization and functioning of the school, as far as this is related to the goals of civic education. The fundamental result of the research will be a handbook for teachers and school leaders, with concrete examples for the implementation of civic education in lessons and school organization.
