Bologna Follow-up group as an international forum for the monitoring and stimulating of the national higher education systems on their ways towards a common European Higher Education Area (initiated by the Bologna Declaration of 1999 and Prague communique of 2001) nominated Dr. Pavel Zgaga to be general rapporteur for the Ministerial conference (Berlin, 18-19 September 2003) which will close the present two-year phase of the Bologna Process. The Report is in progress; it received the support of the European Commission (Socrates - complementary Measures).
