Uvod v edukacijske politike, Skopje 2011-2012

The training course Introduction to Education Policy within the EU Policies and Macedonian Education is designed by Centre for Educational Policy Studies, Ljubljana upon the commission of Foundation Open Society Macedonia. The course consists of 7 modules (plus “Zero Module” plus “Finishing Module”; i.e. in total 9). Learning in each of the “regular” modules 1 – 7 lasts for one month (four weeks; with a three full day seminar in Skopje).

Participants’ total workload (i.e. seminar attendance plus their individual work) amounts to 3 ECTS (on average about 80 hrs in total; approximately 24 hrs seminar work + 56 hrs individual work and consultation). “Zero Module” lasts for one full day and “Finishing Module” for two full days.

Type: non-degree training course (“non-formal learning”; “life-long learning”)

Award: certificate with description of learning outcomes (condition: minimum 90% attendance; two finalised reports)

Period: from September 2011 to November 2012 (with winter and summer breaks)

Group: 25 participants, all of them with higher education degrees (different profiles)

Teaching staff (lecturers): University of Ljubljana

Language: English (with eventual use of “Serbo-Croat”)

Literature, textbooks: English; occasionally translated to Macedonian/Albanian
